European Shortsea Congress (Dublin)

For the first time, the European shortsea community will gather in Dublin to debate the many issues surrounding this demanding and hugely important maritime sector. Key themes for this conference will include:

Trends and opportunities - in depth analysis of current freight movements; growth cargoes; drivers for modal shift; changing cargo sources and emerging shortsea patterns
Intergration and intermodality - potential for greater integration with road, rail and inland shipping; transhipment issues; multimodal supply chains
What the customer wants - an insight into the needs and requirements of the transport buyer
Ports & terminals - shortsea friendly ports; port based RDCs, new developments
Promotion - encouraging shippers to use shortsea

Dual streams will allow specific focus on both bulk and unitised cargoes

A dinner at Dublin Castle, a drinks reception and a tour of the port are also on offer.
